Training
The Civic Systems implementation team includes an industry-certified trainer, comprehensive training courses and related training materials as well as administrator and user documentation. Our software is not only easy to install, but easy to use as well. As a result, training requirements are much less intrusive and time consuming when compared to other document management systems. We prefer to provide onsite training at your location, however we can also provide additional training as requested.
System Administrator Training We recommend that at least two individuals be trained on system administration. One would be the primary system administrator and the other would be the secondary or backup administrator. Training really starts during the installation process. The Civic Systems implementation team members frequently discuss and include system administrators so they become familiar with all aspects of the system. Then, several days of formal training take place.
User Training User training takes place immediately after installation is complete. Onsite training utilizes the newly-installed system, which means you'll be up-and-running on your real system in no time.
Instructional Methods Training is entirely hands-on. Up to two people sit at each workstation with a maximum enrollment of ten individuals (somewhat flexible). Our basic training model consists of these four parts:
- Explain - The instructor offers students an explanation of the concept and its possible applications.
- Demonstrate - The instructor shows students exactly how to perform the operation and how the concept works.
- Practice - The students practice the concept using the application.
- Evaluate - The instructor and students review the concept and practice performance. This gives students a chance to ask questions and give input.
SIRE Technologies, our software partner, holds its annual SIRE RoundTable™ users conference each September. The conference is a three-day event with classes tailored for users, managers, and system administrators. The RoundTable event helps customers learn how to get more out of the software and learn about the latest industry trends, legal issues, and technologies. The conference is a great networking opportunity for customers as well.
