WI Electronic Filing Requirement Change
Wisconsin expands electronic wage statement filing requirements
As part of the recent legislation signed by Governor Walker (2017 Wisconsin Act 59, Sec. 1151 par 71.80(20)) the electronic filing requirement threshold has been lowered. If you are required to file 10 or more Wisconsin wage statements (W-2, 1099 MISC, etc.) for 2017, you are now required to submit them electronically to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue as prescribed in Wisconsin Publication 172.
